Happy Year of the Water Dragon

Today was the first day of the Chinese Year of the Dragon in the element of water.  Accordingly, it rained.

The first two shots are just before sunset, across Aliso Canyon looking east — one of my favorite views after a rain.

As I was coming down the hill, I saw this coyote.

He saw me, too.

We got tired of looking at each other.  He skulked away, and I came home to find my bamboo of paradise looking like this.
