Cosmic Comments, Part I

1.  Living totally in the ego is like living in your car when you don’t have to.  Accepting your own spirituality is like being free to move into a larger house with more cool stuff.

2. In joy, all is forgiven.  We only hold grudges when we’re still hurting, but a lot of that hurting is tied to holding onto the grudge.

3.  From this side (the physical world), life is temporary and death is permanent.  From the other side (the spiritual world), death is temporary and life is permanent.

From this side, money means everything and the intentions of the heart mean nothing.  From the other side, the intentions of the heart mean everything and money means nothing.

Seen this way, people with spiritual inclinations might seem to be at a clear disadvantage in this (physical) world–and many spiritual people do in fact seem kind of like dorks or losers in this world–but I say that having spiritual discipline, insight and abilities can also make us more successful in this world.  Happier, at least.
